About Pawlins

Pawlins is a boarding, daycare and grooming facility on River Road in Jefferson that describes itself as serving New Orleans pet owners, and says it is locally built and not a franchise. Dogs board in four sizes of suite, from small-breed rooms to quiet suites with windows, a private yard and a 24-hour webcam; dogs that don't suit group play get walks through the day instead. Cats stay in private condos in a separate, dog-free area with its own air system and playroom.

The grooming team does baths, full grooms and puppy grooms, with nail trims, nail grinding and other extras sold on their own. Staff give most oral medications to boarders but not injections. A veterinary hospital is next door.
